Why we need this role
This role involves providing consulting, advisory, and technical services across various industries. The candidate should be capable of working with clients on strategy and architecture in key technical areas to facilitate business change, address security needs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
The technical consultant within Colt's Go To Market division collaborates with pre-sales and post-sales teams to generate new business and deliver solution-driven billable work. Working closely with senior consultants, you will play a key role in delivering complex or bespoke solutions for clients across multiple industries, with a degree of autonomy and expertise in your technical field.
What you will do
- Support and collaborate with cross-technical teams, including architects and engineers, on engagements involving Cloud, Network, Security, and Architecture by assisting in problem-solving and providing insights.
- Take full responsibility for specific elements within consulting engagements.
- Engage with clients to understand and formalize their requirements through data collection and analysis.
- Ensure proposed solutions are correctly understood and effectively implemented.
- Work effectively across departments such as Project Management, Operations, Marketing, and Sales.
- Drive revenue and margins through new business opportunities, transactional work, and account retention strategies.
- Create technical and non-technical collateral tailored to customer and project needs.
- Contribute to the creation of pre-sales collateral and practice improvement activities.
What we're looking for
- Expertise in technical strategic planning and architecture in areas like Cloud, Infrastructure, Networking, or Security.
- Ability to work well in geographically dispersed teams.
- Self-driven with personal development planning.
- Broad understanding of the technical consulting landscape, including industry trends.
- Strong presentation and communication skills.
- Awareness of governance, risk, and regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, DORA, NIS2, NIST.
- Vendor certifications and experience in Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper, or Zscaler technologies.
- Experience in discovery and migration activities related to customer network environments.
