Frazer-Nash Consultancy is seeking a skilled Mission Engineering professional to join our Defence analytics team in the UK. You will lead analytical, operational, engineering or experimentation activities within Defence or related domains, coordinating with a team of 3+ specialists and engaging directly with customers and military subject matter experts to frame scenarios and analytical frameworks.

• Experience leading the technical delivery of analytical, operational, engineering or experimentation activities within Defence or similarly complex domains.

• Experience designing analytical methods, technical solutions, delivery plans and assurance activities to meet customer decision-making requirements.
• Hold a degree in a relevant discipline.

Salary: Between £55,000 and £70,000 (depending on experience and capability) plus other financial and non-financial benefits. This position is aligned with our Consultant and Senior Consultant internal job roles. We are looking for professionals with experience in Operational Analysis, Concept Development & Experimentation (CD&E), force development, military planning, wargaming or related disciplines to join our Mission Engineering team. Mission Engineering focuses on understanding how people, systems, capabilities and processes work together to deliver operational outcomes. By taking a mission-focused view, we help clients understand the factors that drive success, identify capability gaps, assess future options and make informed investment decisions. The team is highly collaborative, regularly working alongside specialists in systems engineering, software, modelling and simulation, military operations and human factors. We are looking for candidates who bring diversity of thought, well-developed analytical skills and a commitment to tackle challenging problems.

• Have experience leading the technical delivery of analytical, operational, engineering or experimentation activities within Defence, National Security or similarly complex domains. This to include holding responsibility for delivery of projects, with a team size of 3 or more.
• Are experienced working directly with customers and military subject matter experts to understand operational challenges, develop scenarios, mission threads and analytical frameworks.
• Are experienced designing analytical methods, technical solutions, delivery plans and assurance activities to meet customer decision-making requirements.
• Have experience in one or more of the technical skillsets listed on the application form.
• Hold a degree in a relevant discipline.

• Have developed operational architectures, mission threads or capability assessments.
• Have experience integrating evidence from multiple analytical sources or modelling & simulation to support decision-making.
