VerseOne Group seeks a Consultant Microbiologist to join our Pathology team based at Southend. The post is part of a group hospital model across partner sites, with autonomy per site based on workload.

The consultant will help provide, maintain and develop microbiology, infection control and related services to the hospital and its patients. The role emphasizes collaboration with other Pathology disciplines and Public Health, as part of plans to deliver excellent local and specialist services.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the provision, maintenance and development of the laboratory and clinical microbiology and infection control service.
• Work in collaboration with Microbiology staff, other Pathology disciplines and Public Health services to ensure a service meeting hospital needs.
