What We're Looking For

We're seeking an intellectually curious, commercially aware mechanical engineer who thrives in collaborative, entrepreneurial environments. Ideal candidates will bring:

  • Demonstrated mechanical engineering capability, through a strong academic background and expertise in areas such as electromechanical system design and integration, fluidics and microfluidics, thermal management, precision positioning and tolerance analysis, and specification and design of single-use components.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks and/or OnShape.
  • Systems-level thinking enabling input to risk management and failure mode analysis.
  • Professional engineering experience, typically over 4-10 years, in a regulated industry. Familiarity with ISO 13485 or similar quality systems is desirable.

Job Description

As a Consultant in our Omics team, you'll contribute to designing and developing cutting-edge tools for genomic and proteomic analysis—from novel assays and consumables to integrated benchtop instruments—working alongside a multidisciplinary team of biologists, physicists, and engineers. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle.
