What You Will Do:

Consultants work with Guidehouse Life Sciences teams providing support through all aspects of project work. Your specific tasks include the following: scheduling and conducting interviews with physicians, payers, and other thought leaders in healthcare; gathering and analyzing medical literature, healthcare market reports and databases; and participating in document writing, production, and client presentations. Travel is project dependent but averages 20 percent.

The Life Sciences practice encourages career development and hiring for the long term. Consultants follow a clearly defined career path and continue to deepen their knowledge in the field of healthcare and the practice of consulting. As Consultants develop project management skills they progress to the position of Senior Consultant.

What You Will Need:

  • BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business or related course of study.

  • Minimum 1-3 years of prior relevant consulting experience.

  • Must have experience in one or more of the following therapeutic areas: Oncology, Cell & Gene, Immunology, Cardiometabolic.

  • Must possess strong analytical skills (Excel, Access, etc.) and leverage analytic techniques to use data to guide client and team decision-making.

  • Must have advanced data collection, research, information finding experience and explore solutions that challenge critical thinking.

  • Must be willing and able to travel to client sites across the US, up to 20% of the time.

  • Authorized to work for any US employer without sponsorship.

  • As part of the interview process for this opportunity, candidates will be asked to complete two industry-specific case studies. The first case study will be a presentation the prompt for which will be provided 7 days in advance of the scheduled interview. The second case will be a spot case administered by the interviewer in real time.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

  • Demonstrated commitment and passion for the Healthcare and Life Science industries.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to produce client ready deliverables including PowerPoint presentations.

  • Ability to grasp and communicate clinical and business implications of technically complex products and services.

  • Collaborative and a team player.

The annual salary range for this position is $71,800.00-$107,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
