The post holder will be working as a Consultant Psychiatrist on Campion Unit.

Main duties of the job

As Consultant Psychiatrist, the postholder will have the following responsibilities:

• Consultant medical responsibility for the diagnosis, management, and treatment of allocated patients.
• Supervision of other medical staff attached to the team and multidisciplinary team working with nursing staff and other mental health professionals.
• Provide medical leadership to inpatient services, working closely with the multidisciplinary clinical team, including the Ward Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and ward team.
• Arrange cross cover with other Consultant Psychiatrists in the Learning Disability Service, as agreed with the Associate Director and Medical Lead.
