• Supporter les services du centre de trauma majeur.

Job Description:

The Trust wishes to appoint a substantive Orthopaedic Consultant to meet the demand in Trauma, Limb Reconstruction, and Bone Infections. Currently, 16 surgeons share the trauma on-call rota, and the new appointee will join this rota.

The department has 3 fellowship-trained limb reconstruction surgeons. The successful candidate will join this team to manage complex trauma, limb reconstruction, and bone infections for the region.

The orthopaedic department supports 2 full-day orthoplastic lists. The bone infection team includes two orthopaedic surgeons, one plastic surgeon, one radiology consultant, and one infectious disease consultant, who, along with the infection coordinator, manage weekly MDT meetings and a monthly infection clinic.

The department provides services to the East Riding of Yorkshire, North Lincolnshire, and acts as a tertiary referral center for complex cases such as foot and ankle, spine, paediatrics, pelvic injuries, limb reconstruction, and bone infections. Hull is an adult Major Trauma Centre within the Yorkshire Trauma Network.
