We are seeking to appoint an innovative and dynamic Consultant in Stroke Medicine to be involved in the delivery and development of stroke and TIA services across Herefordshire.
Stroke and TIA services in Herefordshire and Worcestershire have changed significantly over the last 10 years, with centralisation of Hyper Acute and Acute stroke services in Worcestershire at the Worcestershire Royal Hospital site in 2013 and the integration of hyper acute (6-bedded HASU), acute, and rehabilitation stroke services at the Hereford Hospital site. These changes have resulted in improvements to stroke services across the Integrated Care System. Hereford Hospital has consistently achieved a SSNAP A or B rating.
The post will be key to delivering the ICS vision for stroke and TIA services across Herefordshire and Worcestershire. The individual will work with senior colleagues and executives in developing an integrated service model for stroke and TIA across the ICS.
