Barts Health NHS Trust Consultant Physician in Respiratory Medicine with a specialist interest in Lung Cancer 10 PA Post St Bartholomew's Hospital
This is a permanent full time Consultant appointment in our dynamic Respiratory department.
The post has arisen to support the increased work created by the introduction of Lung Cancer Screening Service and the Sarcoma clinic and will cover general respiratory inpatient and some general medicine inpatient work, primarily at the St Bartholomew's and Royal London Hospital sites, with the RDC and some outpatient work based at Mile End Hospital. We would also expect the post holders to look at novel ways of working, particularly around outpatients and the RDC.
The post holders will work with Drs Ruparelia and Singh, Clinical Directors and Dr Angela Wong (RDC Lead), Lead Clinicians and other colleagues in the department in the care of lung cancer and general respiratory patients. They will be expected to join a weekend respiratory and consultant rota for inpatient ward rounds and on call.
The post holders will also be expected to undertake an active interest in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate medical staff and other professional groups. They will be encouraged to undertake research and play a full part in the clinical governance issues of the Respiratory Medicine department and the Trust.
