We haverecognised the need for expansion of the capacity within Respiratory to help meet thedemand and offer further services to our patients. The Respiratory Department is aspiringto develope a 6-bedded inpatient Respiratory Support Unit within the Respiratory Ward toprovide monitored Level 1 care to patients with Respiratory failure.

The post holder will have the option to join the General Physician on-call rota (1 in 16) fornon-selected acute take. This consists of post-take ward rounds on the Acute Medical Unit(AMU) or outlier wards in the morning and then post-take ward rounds in the evening.
A formal Job Plan will be agreed between the appointee and their Clinical Director, onbehalf of the Medical Director, within three months after the commencement date of theappointee. This will be signed by the Clinical Director and will be effective from thecommencement date of the appointment. The Job Plan will then be reviewed annually,following the Appraisal Meeting.
