This is an excellent opportunity to join the Office forHealth Improvement and Disparities (OHID) Midlands to help drive forward healthimprovement and tackle inequalities in health. We have goodrelationships with the local authority teams across the Midlands and contributeto NHS work with NHS Midlands regional teams.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an experienced specialist in publichealth to develop, drive and scale-up delivery of national and regional publichealth programmes. You will provide public health leadership, expertise, andsystem support to help address both complex and emerging public healthchallenges. You will be required to contribute to a wide range of high-profilepublic health related work confidently working with a broad range of seniorinternal and external stakeholders to create change. Your role may include linemanagement responsibilities.

If medically qualified the individual will be appointed tothe point of the consultant salary scale (2003 contract) for Englandappropriate to their years of seniority or if from a background other thanmedicine to an equivalent Agenda for Change Band 8d
