A governmental health department in Nottingham is seeking a Consultant in Public Health to drive public health improvement and tackle health inequalities. This role requires proven leadership in public health, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage complex projects. The position offers flexible working options including full-time and part-time roles within a fixed-term contract. Applicants must hold a Masters in Public Health and relevant professional registration.

We are looking for an experienced specialist in publichealth to develop, drive and scale-up delivery of national and regional publichealth programmes. You will provide public health leadership, expertise, andsystem support to help address both complex and emerging public healthchallenges. You will be required to contribute to a wide range of high-profilepublic health related work confidently working with a broad range of seniorinternal and external stakeholders to create change. Your role may include linemanagement responsibilities.

If medically qualified the individual will be appointed tothe point of the consultant salary scale (2003 contract) for Englandappropriate to their years of seniority or if from a background other thanmedicine to an equivalent Agenda for Change Band 8d
Candidates must be included on the GMC Specialist Register/GDC Specialist List or UK Public Health Register.
