We have an exciting opportunity to become part of a compassionate and dedicated team that provides outstanding palliative and end-of-life care to our patients and their families covering 1600 square miles of beautiful North and East Yorkshire.

At Saint Catherine’s, we are committed to delivering holistic, patient-centred care that upholds dignity, comfort, and quality of life. In joining the team you will play a crucial role in shaping our clinical services, supporting patients with complex needs, and working collaboratively with colleagues across healthcare settings. Your expertise, leadership, and passion for palliative medicine will be invaluable in helping us continue to provide exceptional care.

We are the sole provider of community and hospice in-patient specialist palliative care services in our area and have an established reputation as an independent hospice. We also have excellent links with the Wolfson Palliative Care Research Centre in Hull.

It is an incredibly exciting time to be joining Saint Catherine’s as we create and deliver new services both in the hospice setting as well as in the communities we cover. We are investing in new accommodation and upgrading our current working environments. As an organisation we are focused on reconnecting with our communities and developing partnership working across all sectors. We have a clear vision for expansion and specialisation, and you will have a key role in helping us to achieve these aims.

Working at Saint Catherine’s is more than just a role — it’s an opportunity to be part of a team that truly makes a difference. Every member of staff plays a vital part in delivering compassionate care and support to patients and their families during some of the most important times of their lives. We’re proud to foster a collaborative and supportive working environment where your skills and dedication are truly valued.

As part of our team, you’ll benefit from:

  • Ongoing clinical education and development opportunities
  • A supportive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment
  • The opportunity to be involved in shaping new services that directly support patients and carers
  • Access to the NHS pension scheme (subject to eligibility)
  • Employee Assistance Programme to support your wellbeing
  • Free on-site parking for convenience and ease
  • Subsidised meals at our on-site Flavours Bistro
  • Access to our on-site gym for your health and wellness
  • Staff discounts in our Saint Catherine’s charity shops

If our mission resonates with you and you are looking for a role where your skills, expertise and commitment will make a real difference, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Applications will also be considered from those:

  • who have submitted their CESR application and awaiting a decision from the GMC (a locum appointment would be made in the first instance)
  • who are anticipating gaining their CCT within the next 6 months

Saint Catherine’s Hospice is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All staff are expected to share this commitment and work in accordance with our safeguarding policies and procedures. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this role.
