Job description

Applications are invited for this position of Locum Consultant in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to join and expand the existing consultant team, working jointly with colleagues in Orthodontics and Dermatology.

The post would suit a committed and compassionate individual with completion of training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to Consultant level, with a subspecialty interest Facial Deformity & Orthognathic Surgery and with a passion to develop the Surgical Dermatology aspect of the service. We are keen to ensure that the post works for you and would be interested in hearing from people that may want to work part-time or flexibly or on a full-time basis.

Applicants are required to be on the OMFS GMC Specialist Register, or within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT / EU equivalent certification at the time of interview.

The post is based on the Wonford site of the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital, where inpatient and outpatient accommodation is situated. The Combined Maxillofacial Unit for North and East Devon serves a population of approximately 500,000.
