Job description

We are looking for versatile, enthusiastic individuals to join our Consultant Psychiatry teams to support us on our improvement and transformation journey.

This is an exciting time for the Trust as we are on a journey to bring together all NHS community and mental health services provided in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, including services provided by Solent NHS Trust, Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, Isle of Wight NHS Trust, and Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, that delivers Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Hampshire, in what we call project Fusion.

Main duties of the job

This is a fantastic time to join us; we need forward-thinking, dynamic change agents to join our teams who would offer first-class clinical leadership and clinical care across all our Mental Health Specialties and who will support us in our ongoing journey of transformation by bringing new ways of looking at issues and thinking about how we deliver services.

We have a wide variety of specialties available on offer, including:

  1. Older Person's Mental Health -- In Patients

We're happy to discuss your specific career requirements with you and may be able to offer blended job plans, opportunities for Specialty Lead and education, training or research as well as flexible working opportunities or a more traditional 10-session role if this is what you are looking for.

  • Full Registration with the General Medical Council
  • MRCPsych or recognised equivalent
  • Eligible for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 12 months of CCT/CESR at time of interview. CCT/CESR in old age or dual trained old age with psychiatry.
  • Approved under section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act 1983 in the UK.
