We seek a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join our team at Blackpool Victoria Hospital. The role involves delivering high-quality women's health services, with a focus on obstetric clinical governance and Labour Ward leadership, supporting initiatives like the Saving Babies Lives care bundle. The department handles approximately 2,500 births annually and emphasizes family-centered care.
The position includes responsibilities in clinical governance, teaching, research, and quality improvement. The Directorate of Maternity and Women’s Services is committed to high-quality, patient-centered care. Our team includes 11 consultants, specialists, trainees, midwives, nurses, and neonatal staff. We provide comprehensive maternity and gynaecology services, including a Level 2 Neonatal Unit, outpatient clinics, surgical procedures, and research initiatives.
