Job Title: Learning Disabilities Psychiatry

Grade: Consultant

Location: Dundee, Angus

Working Hours: 24 hours per week

Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Learning Disabilities Psychiatry to work full-time hours for our NHS client based in Dundee, Angus. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?
  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of adults to understand their mental health challenges, considering their personal history and symptoms.
  • Formulate individualized treatment plans tailored to each person's needs and goals.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centered care.
  • Oversee therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of individuals regularly, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and management strategies to ensure safety and well-being.

This role requires both clinical expertise and a compassionate approach.
