Person Specification:

  • Medical Degree: Essential
  • MBChB or equivalent: Desirable
  • Qualification or higher degree in medical education, clinical research or management: Desirable
  • GMC registration: Essential, Full registration with GMC
  • In good standing with GMC with respect to warning and conditions on practice: Desirable
  • Specialist register: Essential, Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.
  • AC status: Essential, Approved Clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment
  • S12 approval: Essential, Approved under S12 OR able to achieve with 3 months of appointment
  • Knowledge in psychiatry: Essential, Excellent knowledge in adult psychiatry including knowledge and experience of a range of conditions and complex psychological problems
  • Wide range of specialist and sub-specialist experience: Desirable, relevant to post within NHS or comparable service
