An exciting opportunity has arisen for the post of consultant adolescent forensic psychiatrist at Bluebird House, a medium secure forensic inpatient unit. The post holder will work within the 14 bedded medium secure adolescent unit.
The Trust is seeking to appoint a consultant forensic child and adolescent psychiatrist to join the existing team at Bluebird House. This is a full-time post with a potential to take up a leadership role as Clinical Lead for the unit.
Bluebird House is staffed by a multi-disciplinary team, with non-consultant medical staff (specialty doctor, resident doctor), psychology, occupational therapy, social worker, nursing and health-care support work provision. There are excellent links with community services such as school nursing, podiatry, dietetics, sexual health, substance misuse services as well as with secondary care services via University Hospital Southampton.
