Consultant in Fetal and Paediatric Cardiology
10 PA - Substantive appointment
An opportunity for a full time Paediatric Cardiologist with expertise in Fetal Cardiology has arisen at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children.
This post is available for a consultant experienced in fetal cardiology including fetal echocardiography, counselling and management of families expecting a child with congenital heart disease and prenatal management of arrhythmias
The postholder will be expected to independently run GOSH Fetal Cardiology outpatient, outreach fetal cardiology clinics and a paediatric cardiology clinic.
The successful candidate will be working in paediatric Cardiology and participate in the consultant on call rota. They will join joint cardiac and surgical weekly meeting and there is the opportunity to join a large variety of educational meetings. Candidates must be registered with the GMC at the time of application.

Main duties of the jobFetal cardiology clinics at Great Ormond Street Hospital, fetal cardiology outreach clinics, paediatric cardiology clinic, participation in paediatric cardiology consultant on call rota.Liaison with the GOSH cardiac services team will be facilitated by attendance at the weekly Joint Cardiac Conference, weekly fetal governance meeting and the weekly cardiac unit Clinical Governance meeting.GOSH is a Postgraduate Teaching Hospital. National trainees in Paediatric Cardiology, senior trainees or established consultants in Fetal Medicine, or fetal sonographers may be attached for varying periods of time for advanced teaching.
