We are looking for a Substantive Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology and Acute Medicine to support our growing departments. Interviews will be on the 14th August 2025
The successful candidate will be based at the Royal Free Site
The post holder will:
• Join a team with established specialized Endocrine services spanning Pituitary, Adrenal, NET, Thyroid, Parathyroid, General Endocrinology. Type 1 and 2 diabetes, Pancreatogenic diabetes post-transplant diabetes and Islet Cell Transplant.
• The Acute Medicine element of this role will provide cover across the Acute Medicine Rota in MAU (Medical Assessment Unit) weekend Tower on call, GIM am rota cover and contribution towards Acute Medicine Lower Ground floor Take on call shifts.
This post will contribute to the delivery Inpatient activity and outpatient clinics in both Endocrinology and Diabetes
The post entails:
• A weekly Complex Diabetes Clinic and Endocrine Specialist Clinic as outlined in Job Description
• A weekly diabetes ward round, with support from nursing and junior medical colleagues.
The Acute Internal Medicine (AIM) service at the Royal Free Hospital (RFH) provides rapid assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients presenting with acute medical emergencies – usually via the Emergency Department (ED) or via GP referral. The service also provides Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) and a Virtual Ward
