Job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic colleague to join our friendly, dynamic Diabetes and Endocrinology team at Broomfield Hospital. The successful candidate will join an established, innovative team of Consultants, Junior Doctors, and Specialist Nurses.

We support the development of a specialist interest aligned with the current needs of our service. Across our sites, we cover a wide range of sub-interests within diabetes and endocrinology, offering a diverse mix of clinical work within the proposed job plan.

Please note we have Royal College approval of the JD. An AAC interview is planned for 5th September 2025.

The role as a Full-time Consultant in Diabetes and Endocrinology involves outpatient clinics, ward reviews, and inpatient in-reach, providing expert assessment and advice to General and Acute colleagues.

You will be expected to electronically triage new outpatient referrals and review and respond to advice and guidance requests.

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest in the country, with approximately 15,000 staff serving a population of 1.2 million people.
