    Job Summary

    We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic, and highly skilled consultant with broad experience in children and young people's diabetes and/or endocrinology to join our team at University College Hospital (UCLH). There are 5 PAs available, flexibly allocated across diabetes and endocrine services.

    Diabetes Service (3 PAs)

    The Children and Young People's Diabetes Service at UCLH is one of the largest in the UK, utilizing the latest technologies including hybrid closed-loop insulin systems. The service provides intensive support for young people managing their diabetes and has received awards for outstanding results.

    Applicants with active research experience, especially in pre-clinical type 1 diabetes, immunotherapy, or technology, are particularly valued. The role may include future on-call duties for diabetes.

    Endocrinology Service (2 PAs)

    UCLH offers a busy paediatric and adolescent endocrine service, including clinics for NHS England's Gender Incongruence services. The role involves managing local, regional, and tertiary referrals.

    Main Duties
    • Providing comprehensive diabetes and endocrine care, teaching, and supervision of trainees.
