Job Title:Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry

Working Hours: 32 hours

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry to join our NHS client’s dynamic team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire. This position is available for an immediate start on a short-term contract, offering competitive rates.

Key Responsibilities:

In this role, you will provide high-quality psychiatric services to children and adolescents, focusing on assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of mental health conditions. You will develop and implement individualised care plans, provide therapeutic interventions, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated care. Your responsibilities will include conducting assessments, managing complex cases, providing specialist advice, and engaging in service evaluation, audit, and research to enhance the quality of care provided. Additionally, you will provide clinical leadership to the team, supervise staff, and use electronic patient record systems.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) as a Consultant Psychiatrist.
  • CCT in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry or equivalent.
  • Experience in working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
  • Experience in clinical leadership and supervision.
  • Proficiency in using electronic patient record systems.
  • Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Experience in service evaluation and research is desirable.
