Position Overview: As a Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional psychiatric care to children and adolescents with a diverse range of mental health needs. Leading a dedicated multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to assessments, treatment planning, and interventions tailored to the unique requirements of young minds. This role requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and a commitment to providing compassionate and effective care to support the mental health and development of children and adolescents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments for children and adolescents, and formulating individualized treatment plans.
  • Leading and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality and age-appropriate psychiatric care.
  • Overseeing and guiding therapeutic interventions, medication management, and crisis interventions for young individuals.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of innovative programs to enhance mental health outcomes for children and adolescents.
  • Engaging with families, schools, and community resources to provide holistic support and continuity of care.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Specialist registration in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) or equivalent in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
  • Substantial experience as a Consultant in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, demonstrating leadership and clinical excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with young individuals, families, and a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about the latest research and best practices in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
