Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to work full-time hours for our NHS client based in London. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for an immediate start, for a short-term contract.

Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents with complex mental health issues.
  • Lead and oversee the development of treatment plans and therapeutic interventions.
  • Manage and support multidisciplinary teams, ensuring effective collaboration among healthcare professionals.
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff and trainees, contributing to their professional development.
  • Participate in MDT meetings to discuss patient progress and treatment strategies.
  • Engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives to enhance CAMHS services.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Full GMC license to practice.
  • Previous experience in CAMHS.
  • Section 12/RC approval is essential.
  • Ability to perform Developmental and Initial Health Assessments for Looked After Children.
  • Possession of a Specialist Register (CCT).
