An established industry player is seeking a full-time Consultant in Cardiology with a focus on heart failure and cardiac MRI. This role is vital to meet the growing demands of the local service. This is a full-time post for a Consultant cardiologist with a sub-specialty interest in cardiac MRI and is designed to keep up with the increasing demands on our local service. Applicants will be required to have training and experience in cardiac MRI reporting, a wide range of experience in general cardiology, and a complementary sub-specialist interest in heart failure is encouraged.
The post holder will be expected to work with colleagues at both sites to support the service. The post holder will contribute to the current 1:10 Consultant of the week model for delivering cardiology inpatient care at CRH and will also have a commitment to a 1:10 cardiology on-call service/weekend rota across the Trust. There is no commitment to general medicine on call.
Applicants must be on the General Medical Council Specialist Register or within six months of being admitted to the Register for trainees if in a training programme within the UK. All other categories of doctors must be on the GMC Specialist Register to be considered for a consultant appointment by the Advisory Appointments Committee. Applicants must continue to hold a License to Practice.
