We are seeking a Consultant in Breast & Gynaecological Radiology to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team at NHS Tayside. The role involves providing high-quality imaging services in both symptomatic and screening settings, including digital breast tomosynthesis, contrast-enhanced mammography, ultrasound shear-wave elastography, and Breast MRI. The team benefits from strong collaborations with surgeons, pathologists, and nurses, and includes consultant radiographers and advanced practitioners.
The candidate will contribute to education and training of staff and students, with responsibilities spanning breast radiology and general/gynaecological diagnostic duties. The post is based in Tayside, with potential sessions in Stracathro or Perth Royal Infirmary. The on-call frequency is 1 in 15 for diagnostic radiology, with separate interventional on-call arrangements. Applicants should have a GMC registration, be on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT/CESR, and have experience in breast radiology, including screening and assessment.
This is a replacement post with a planned workload of 10 programmed activities: 8 direct clinical care sessions, 1 SPA session, and an additional SPA session for professional activities or clinical care based on the candidate's preference.
