Applicants must have full GMC Registration, a license to practise, and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register. UK-trained applicants should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the date of interview. Portfolio Pathway (formerly CESR) doctors are only eligible to apply for a substantive consultant post once awarded. Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
This is a full-time, permanent position based at St John’s Hospital, with 40 hours per week. The role involves daytime critical care work at RIE and out-of-hours critical care on call at RIE. The post includes 10 Programmed Activities (PA): 9 for Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 1 for Supporting Professional Activity (SPA). Reorganization of PA to accommodate specialist interests may be possible. One EPA may also be available.
