Job description

Job Title: Adult Psychiatrist

Grade: Consultant

Location: Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time hours for our NHS client based in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for an immediate start, offering a short-term contract.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care on the General Adult Psychiatry Ward
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Maintain compliance with all legal obligations as prescribed by the Mental Health Act (MHA) and the Ministry of Justice
  • Assess patients under the MHA and make recommendations accordingly
  • Act as Responsible Clinician (RC)
Qualifications and Experience
  • Full GMC license to practice
  • Section 12 approval
  • Approved Clinician status
  • Previous experience in a similar role
