Position Overview: As a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality psychiatric care to adults with diverse mental health needs. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to assessments, treatment planning, and delivering evidence-based interventions, fostering positive outcomes for the individuals in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans for adults with mental health challenges.
  2. Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality and person-centered psychiatric care.
  3. Oversee and guide therapeutic interventions, including medication management, crisis interventions, and psychotherapeutic approaches.
  4. Monitor and evaluate the progress of individuals, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  5. Contribute to risk assessments and management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Specialist registration in Adult Psychiatry.
  • CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) or equivalent in Adult Psychiatry.
  • Proven experience as a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, demonstrating leadership and clinical excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about the latest advancements in psychiatry.
