Position Overview: As a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality psychiatric care to adults with diverse mental health needs. Leading a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to assessments, treatment planning, and delivering evidence-based interventions, fostering positive outcomes for the individuals in your care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate individualized treatment plans for adults with mental health challenges.
  • Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality and person-centered psychiatric care.
  • Oversee and guide therapeutic interventions, including medication management, crisis interventions, and psychotherapeutic approaches.
  • Monitor and evaluate the progress of individuals, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of individuals.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
  • Specialist registration in Adult Psychiatry.
  • CCT (Certificate of Completion of Training) or equivalent in Adult Psychiatry.
  • Proven experience as a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, demonstrating leadership and clinical excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about the latest advancements in psychiatry.
