Job description

Job Title: Adult Psychiatrist

Grade: Consultant

Location: Orpington, Kent

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time hours for our NHS client based in Orpington, Kent. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for a short-term contract, with an immediate start for the successful candidate.

Responsibilities:

  1. Providing high-quality patient care on the General Adult Psychiatry Ward.
  2. Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualized treatment plans.
  3. Maintaining compliance with all legal obligations as prescribed by the Mental Health Act (MHA) and the Ministry of Justice.
  4. Assessing patients under the MHA and making recommendations accordingly.
  5. Acting as Responsible Clinician (RC).

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Full GMC license to practice.
  • Section 12 approval.
  • Approved Clinician status.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
