Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
Grade: Consultant
Location: Edgware, Middlesex
Working Hours: 40 hours per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time for our NHS client based in Edgware, Middlesex. Your core responsibilities will include assessing, diagnosing, and overseeing the mental health of patients in your care.

What will your responsibilities be?

As a consultant in adult psychiatry, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. Conducting comprehensive psychiatric assessments to evaluate adults and understand their mental health challenges.
  2. Formulating individualised treatment plans tailored to each person’s needs and goals.
  3. Leading a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
  4. Overseeing therapeutic interventions, including medication management and crisis interventions.
  5. Regularly monitoring and evaluating the progress of individuals and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
  6. Contributing to risk assessments and management strategies to ensure the safety and well-being of those in your care.

This role requires both clinical expertise and a compassionate approach.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • You must have a full GMC licence to practice.
  • Relevant previous experience working in this type of position.
  • Section 12/RC approval is essential.
  • Approved clinician status is desired but not essential.
