Grade: Consultant

Location: Leamington Spa, Warwickshire

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full-time hours for our NHS client based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for an immediate start, for a short-term contract.

Responsibilities

1. Providing high-quality patient care on the General Adult Psychiatry Ward.
2. Conducting comprehensive assessments and developing individualised treatment plans.
3. Maintaining compliance with all legal obligations as prescribed by the Mental Health Act (MHA) and the Ministry of Justice.
4. Assessing patients under the MHA and making recommendations.
5. Acting as Responsible Clinician (RC).
6. Possessing Section 12 and Approved Clinician (AC) approval.

Qualifications and Experience

• Full GMC license to practice.
• Section 12 approval.
• Approved Clinician status.
• Substantial experience in psychiatry, including working with individuals suffering from severe mental illness.
