Job description

Job Title: Consultant in Adult Psychiatry
Banding: Consultant
Location: Cupar, Fife
Working Hours: 40 per week
Rate: Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to join our NHS client based in Cupar, Fife. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

Your responsibility will be to conduct psychiatric assessments, formulate accurate diagnoses, and prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions. You will have to provide consultation and support to primary care providers, community mental health teams, and other stakeholders involved in the care of adults with mental health needs. You will be expected to participate in service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and research activities to enhance the delivery of mental health care services for adults.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • You must have a full GMC licence to practice
  • Relevant previous experience working in this type of position
  • Section 12/RC approval is essential
  • Approved clinician status is desired but not essential
  • Specialist Register (CCT) required.
