Job description

Job Title: Adult Psychiatrist
Grade:Consultant
Location: Cannock, Staffordshire
Working Hours:40 hours
Rate:Competitive, to be discussed upon application

We are seeking an enthusiastic Consultant in Adult Psychiatry to work full time hours for our NHS client based in Cannock, Staffordshire. This vacancy is available on a locum basis for the successful candidate to start immediately for a short-term contract.

What will your responsibilities be?

As a Consultant in Adult Psychiatry, your key responsibilities will include conducting thorough psychiatric assessments of adults, considering their personal history and presenting symptoms. You will develop individualised treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs and goals, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care. You will lead a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with various healthcare professionals to oversee therapeutic interventions such as medication management and crisis interventions. Your role will also involve regularly monitoring and evaluating the progress of patients, adjusting treatment plans as needed to optimise care. Additionally, you will contribute to risk assessments and management strategies, ensuring the safety and well-being of those under your care. This role requires both clinical expertise and a compassionate approach to support individuals in their mental health journey.

Qualifications and Experiences:

  • You must have a full GMC licence to practice
  • Section 12
  • Approved Clinician
  • 6 Months Previous experience in similar role – Desirable
