There is an exciting opportunity for a full-time Consultant in Acute Medicine to join the existing team working across WTWA Hospitals.
The Acute Medical and Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) team includes 11 consultants with a breadth of specialty knowledge. We are supported by an excellent multidisciplinary team, which includes 3 Advanced Care Practitioners, one consultant nurse, 2 pharmacists, 3 physician associates, occupational and physiotherapists, discharge facilitators, locally employed senior and junior clinical fellows, and rotating doctors in training.
We are keen to attract candidates interested in service development and will support this in post. We are also looking to recruit a colleague who will contribute to the wider hospital, including but not limited to supporting management and training (both undergraduate and postgraduate) activities. This appointment will be made in accordance with the 2003 Consultant Contract Terms and Conditions. The Job Description indicates the main duties of the post, which may be reviewed in light of experience and developments within the service. Any review will be undertaken in conjunction with the post holder.
This is a full-time 10PA post. However, applications for less than full-time work or job shares are also welcomed. 11/12 PAs may also be available by mutual agreement. The successful applicants would join the medical on-call rota, which currently includes 1 in 8 weekends and 1 in 24 weekdays and overnight.
