A leading healthcare provider in Salford is seeking a clinical Immunologist to deliver comprehensive immunology services. The role includes responsibilities in maintaining allergy and immunology services, conducting clinics, and supervising patient treatments. The appointee will, together with a consultant colleague, be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive, efficient, and high-quality clinical Immunology service at Salford Royal Hospital, the Northern Care Alliance NHS Foundation Trust (NCA). Duties will encompass all aspects of Allergy and Clinical Immunology.
Honorary contract with Manchester Foundation Trust (Site of the Greater Manchester Immunology laboratory) can be arranged for limited involvement with regional immunology laboratory.
The post holder will be expected to maintain continuing medical education to the requirements of the relevant Royal College(s), to participate in relevant CPD activities, clinical audit, clinical governance, relevant quality assurance schemes and proficiency testing, appraisal, job plan review and revalidation. Consultants are also required to complete mandatory training. There is no mandatory out-of-hours work. Colleague cross-cover for annual, professional and study leave is expected.
