Job Title: Consultant Histopathologist
Grade:Consultant
Location: South Wales
Working Hours:Full-time, 10 PAs (with flexibility for part-time applicants)
Salary: £105,504 – £139,882 per annum

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Consultant Histopathologist to join our client’s team of dedicated Cellular Pathologists. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a vibrant and historic town, with a rich cultural heritage and modern amenities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and studying disease in tissues and organs
  • Examining samples of tissue, usually a small biopsy, and detecting changes that explain what is causing a patient’s illness
  • Working closely with other doctors, scientists, and healthcare staff to manage a patient’s care

Qualifications

  • Full registration and licence to practise with the GMC and be on the Specialist Register in Histopathology (or be eligible within six months of interview)
  • UK-trained applicants must hold a Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) or be within six months of award by the date of interview
  • FRCPath (Part 1 and Part 2)
