Job summary

Pulse Healthcare is seeking a Locum Consultant Histopathologist (Breast Pathology) in Manchester to join a busy NHS department. The role focuses on diagnosing breast tissue and delivering high-quality pathology services within a multidisciplinary team.

CESR support can be offered to help GMC-specialist registration. The post offers 12-month fixed-term contract terms with pro rata annual salary and competitive benefits for locum specialists.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and valid medical license (FRCPath or equivalent).
• GMC registration or eligibility to join the register within 6 months.
• GMC specialist registration or eligibility to join the specialist register within 6 months for substantive role.
• Proven experience as a Histopathology Consultant (Breast Pathology).
• Strong diagnostic skills and proficiency in medical procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to CPD and staying current with medical advancements.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and analyse breast tissue samples within MDT settings.
• Contribute to the general workload and provide breast pathology services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient care.
• Support CESR pathway and GMC specialist registration.
