Overview

The Christie NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Consultant Histopathologists to join our expert Cellular Pathology team. These new appointments will strengthen our subspecialty services in Haematolymphoid, Gastrointestinal and Gynaecological Oncology, supporting world-class cancer care, research and education. These are permanent, 10 PA consultant posts. We welcome applications from candidates with an interest in any of the three specialties and will work with successful applicants to tailor job plans that reflect both service needs and individual expertise.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist diagnostic services for in-house clinical teams and external referrals across Greater Manchester and beyond.
  • Join an existing highly skilled multidisciplinary team of 10 consultant colleagues.
  • Contribute to MDT meetings, teaching, audit, service innovation, and collaborative research.
Role Options
  • A standalone Haematolymphoid role (1.0 WTE)
  • A combined Gastrointestinal (0.5 WTE) and Gynaecology (0.5 WTE) role
  • Flexible split posts combining Haematolymphoid with GI or Gynae

  • FRCPath (or equivalent) and GMC registration (with CCT or within 6 months at interview)
