Evolve Staffing Ltd. is excited to recruit a Consultant Haematologist for a respected NHS Foundation Trust in Bristol.

The post covers clinical haematology and laboratory haematology, managing a portfolio of malignant haemato-oncology and non-malignant blood disorders within a level-3 BCSH-accredited MDT. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, contribute to regional initiatives, oversee laboratory services, and support education and clinical trials while maintaining high standards of patient

Qualifications

• Full GMC Registration and entry on the Specialist Register for Haematology (or within 6 months of CCT/CESR).
• Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) or equivalent medical qualification.
• Extensive clinical experience encompassing both clinical patient management and laboratory diagnostic haematology.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical management for inpatients and outpatients with diverse haematological malignancies and coagulation disorders.
• Oversee laboratory haematology services, blood bank operations, and validation of complex blood films and bone marrow aspirates.
• Lead regional haemato-oncology MDT meetings to formulate treatment protocols.
• Drive clinical trials, research initiatives, and educational supervision of trainees and staff.

The appointed Consultant will manage a complex portfolio of malignant haemato-oncology (leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma) and non-malignant blood disorders, functioning as a key pillar within a level-3 BCSH-accredited multidisciplinary environment.

Core Clinical Responsibilities:

• Provide expert clinical management for inpatients and outpatients suffering from diverse haematological malignancies and coagulation disorders.

• Oversee laboratory haematology services, blood bank operations, and the validation of complex blood films and bone marrow aspirates.

• Lead and actively contribute to regional haemato-oncology multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to formulate comprehensive treatment protocols.

• Drive forward clinical trials, research initiatives, and the educational supervision of trainee haematologists and scientific staff.

Essential Candidate Requirements:
