This dynamic medical vacancy is designed for a clinical expert capable of delivering top-tier care across both clinical haematology and laboratory haematology. The appointed Consultant will manage a complex portfolio of malignant haemato-oncology (leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma) and non-malignant blood disorders, functioning as a key pillar within a level-3 BCSH-accredited multidisciplinary environment.
Provide expert clinical management for inpatients and outpatients suffering from diverse haematological malignancies and coagulation disorders.
Oversee laboratory haematology services, blood bank operations, and the validation of complex blood films and bone marrow aspirates.
Lead and actively contribute to regional haemato-oncology multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings to formulate comprehensive treatment protocols.
Drive forward clinical trials, research initiatives, and the educational supervision of trainee haematologists and scientific staff.
Full GMC Registration and entry on the Specialist Register for Haematology (or within 6 months of CCT/CESR).
Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) or equivalent medical qualification.
Extensive clinical experience encompassing both clinical patient management and laboratory diagnostic haematology.
