Consultant Haematologist - South West England - Perm/FTC

Triple West Medical has been appointed by an NHS Trust based in South West England to help recruit a Consultant Haematologist for a substantive basis, and they would also consider a Locum Consultant on a 12 Months FTC.

They are one of the largest NHS Trusts in the region providing acute and community services and cover a population of over 500,000 with over 7,000 staff. The department have an active interest in clinical research and are now seeking a new member to join their team.

- The role consists of working in a team of consultants and junior doctors managing Haematological conditions
- You will be expected to manage both inpatients and outpatients
- To play a full part in the out-of-hours On-Call service for the department. This includes being on-call for telephone advice and major incidents
- To take part in medical audit and research as appropriate
- Ensure that the requirements of clinical governance are met
- To play a full part in the professional supervision and management of junior medical staff
- Take responsibility for and devote time to teaching, examination and accreditation duties as required for junior medical staff
