Job summary
We are seeking versatile, enthusiastic individuals to join our Consultant team in General Adult Psychiatry to support our ongoing improvement and transformation initiatives.
This is an excellent opportunity for forward-thinking, dynamic change agents who can provide first-class clinical leadership and care across all Mental Health Specialties. You will play a key role in our transformation journey by introducing innovative approaches to service delivery.
You must be registered with a GMC license to practice, with a CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or MRCPsych or an equivalent qualification. All applicants should have Section 12 Approval and Approved Clinician Status upon appointment.

Main duties of the job
The post holders will provide clinical care and act as responsible clinicians for up to 18 inpatients, depending on ward allocation. They will offer clinical leadership and liaise with various stakeholders locally and regionally. Support is provided by established inpatient services with three WTE consultants, supported by two Middle Grade Doctors, core trainees, nursing staff, OT, psychology, and other support staff. Each ward has its own ward manager and a modern matron overseeing operations.
