A regional healthcare provider in Scunthorpe seeks a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist to provide senior psychiatric care in an inpatient unit. Responsibilities include psychiatric assessments, leadership in multidisciplinary meetings, and supervision of staff. The ideal candidate should be registered with the GMC and have experience in General Adult Psychiatry. This role emphasizes community-based research and service development.

The postholder will hold 1.5 PA's for Research & Innovation work to be detailed and agreed on appointment with the Care Group Medical Director and the Director of Research & Innovation. The Research element of the role will flex to suit the requirements of the postholder. The Grounded Research Community Clinical Research Facility is based in Doncaster, Tickhill Road Site, but the postholder will be able to work from varying locations to suit the demands of the role.

The team want research questions to come from our communities, be relevant to our communities and be adopted by our communities.
Grounded Research also has a growing portfolio of Commercial Research that the postholder is strongly encouraged to develop.
The Research team has developed regional, national and international networks to catalyse the research portfolio for the benefit of our communities, including a particular emphasis on commercial clinical trials and our work with Industry.
The post holder will be expected to provide senior psychiatric input to the in-patient unit. Duties will include:
