The team is well-established with strong support from senior colleagues.

The Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) operates as an effective multidisciplinary team, with consultants leading alongside the team manager. Referrals are mainly received from GPs via the Single Point of Access, as well as from patients, families, and other services such as Social Services and the Police. Patients not requiring secondary care are signposted to community or primary care services, including Primary Care Plus and Talk. The trust collaborates with third sector partners to enhance mental health services.

The team holds weekly multidisciplinary referral meetings, zoning meetings, and daily brief "huddles" to manage clinical workload. A mix of onsite and agile working is available, utilizing digital technology for remote patient sessions.
