Job Description:

CPL UK Healthcare (formerly RIG Locums) is seeking a General Adult Consultant for NHS South London.

The role offers highly negotiable rates for a dedicated psychiatrist. The trust seeks an enthusiastic Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry for full-time work. This position is ideal for someone looking to broaden their experience in community psychiatry and develop clinical skills in a supportive environment. The team is well-established, with strong support from senior clinical and managerial colleagues.

The CMHT functions as an effective multidisciplinary team, with consultants leading in partnership with the team manager. Most referrals come from GPs via the Single Point of Access, which triages referrals across the area. Other sources include patients, families, Social Services, and the Police. Patients not requiring secondary care are signposted to community or primary care services, including Primary Care Plus and Talk. The Trust collaborates with third sector partners to enhance mental health services.

The team holds weekly MDT referral meetings, zoning meetings, and daily brief "huddles" to manage clinical workload. A combination of onsite and agile working is in place, utilizing digital technology for remote consultations.
