Job description

Consultant Gastroenterologist - East of England - Perm/FTC

Triple West Medical is currently seeking an experienced Gastroenterology Consultant due to an expansion in the NHS Trust's Diagnostic services. The ideal candidate will join the existing team of over 10 senior staff and SAS doctors.

The department uses the latest Olympus scopes and stacks for both sites and offers ERCP, EUS, BCSP, and Small Bowel Capsule endoscopy. It is well established, friendly, and continually improving. The successful candidate will provide training and supervision to junior doctors.

Brief Duties/Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in multidisciplinary team working, including regular MDT discussions with colleagues.
  2. Provide evidence-based care for patients in a multidisciplinary setting.
  3. Take responsibility for patient care, including administrative duties (with secretarial support).
  4. Develop subspecialty interests aligned with division needs and Trust strategy.
  5. Contribute to teaching, examinations, accreditation, undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education activities.
  6. Cover for colleagues' leave in accordance with Trust policies.
  7. Engage in clinical audit, Morbidity and Mortality meetings, Clinical Governance, and CME activities.
  8. Participate in emergency duties and unforeseen circumstances.
  9. Participate in out-of-hours GI services.

Our client can issue Certificates of Sponsorships to qualified overseas doctors. GMC registration and relevant experience are essential.
