Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Engineer or Technical Consultant with a strong background in galvanizing plant operations to support the preparation of high-quality technical documentation for public funding applications, grants, and regulatory reports on a project basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to identify R&D-eligible activities within galvanizing plant projects.
• Support the preparation of technical narratives, justifications, and supporting evidence for public funding submissions.
• Translate technical processes related to galvanizing into clear, concise, and funding-compliant documentation.
• Assess and structure claims related to the design, build, or upgrade of galvanizing equipment, including gas-fired and electric-powered kettles.
• Ensure alignment with UK and/or EU funding criteria, including definitions of technological uncertainty, advancement, and work steps.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and external experts to validate technical content and prepare for audits or reviews, if required.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Prior experience in funding consultancy, ideally in the engineering or manufacturing sector.

• Technical understanding of galvanizing plants, including process flows and equipment design.

• Familiarity with public funding eligibility criteria under national and EU frameworks is a plus

• Ability to communicate complex engineering processes in a structured and accessible manner for funding bodies.

• Highly organized, deadline-driven, and comfortable working independently or as part of a collaborative team.
